I came across a Feg PA63 in 380 I am considering buying. It is in great shape to the point I'm not sure it's been fired. He is asking $300 for the package and I just wanted to get some thoughts.

If it were available to me I would BUY IT! These in .380 are scarce. I LOVE mine. It's all beat up and someone carved on the grips but they are GREAT shooters. MUCH better than the more powerful MAK cartridge which is TOO powerful in this size handgun.
I think these were available retail 25 years ago for about a hundred bucks for the pkg. IMO 300 today is a fair price. $250 would be better but in this condition 300 is reasonable.

I had an FEG 9mm I bought NIB some years back that looked similar to a Hi-Power. The blue was excellent, the machining was very good. Barrel was left in the white, and the rifling was crisp and shiny. Grips fit quite well and were checkered very well. The only fault I can think of now was that the edges were *too* sharp...

Look Dave I'm not really an expert on these Hungarian guns, and in fact I think I just saw a couple of them but as far as I know these were pretty good guns developed during the Cold War and basically based on the more famous WALTER PP.
I seem to remember that they used to be well made. My 2 cents Sergio

Like the others have stated, i don't believe that you can go wrong at that price for that condition. LNIB all steel handguns with holster in 380cal are not often found for $300.

The only bad but good thing is the .380 Caliber and I say that because sometimes it has been easier to find 9mm Mak for sale compared to .380 of late.

Hi,
For the price, these are very hard to beat!! One in .380 should be quite rare, as most all were in 9mm Mak. Good luck with it!!! Sieger |

I have one in the 9mm mak and love it for CCW.
Nice looking holster too. On the down side parts can be hard to find and spare mags can get expensive. .

Hi,
This sure looks like my 9mm Mac model. These are really nice, and are a good carry because of the aluminum frame. Sieger |

The 9mm Mac model is very uncomfortable to shoot in small light pistols like these. I cannot empty a magazine..it hurts the web of my hand. No fun at all. Now the .380 round in these is a pleasure. You can shoot as much as you like.
I guess in a combat/defensive situation the 9mm Mac model would not be a great concern but for pleasure plinking the .380 is the round for me.

You can look at adding a heavier recol spring from Wolf to tame the recoil.
