I recently purchased a commercial luger in 30 caliber. It has a four digit serial number 6958 on the front of the frame but without a suffix directly after it. Below it there is what appears to be a lower case "L" stamped in script or cursive which is arranged this way:
6958 L(lower case) Is that the suffix referred to in the serial number tables? Or should it read "6958L" if the suffix is truly part of the serial number? Thanks. |

That is the letter suffix as referred to. And the complete serial number is 6958l, as you suggest.
