Default WTS: P38 Recoil spring.

Giving Luger forumites first chance at this before I post it on the P.38 forum. Accidentally bought a P38 recoil spring - just want to recoup my cost. $15 shipped (US).

Is it large or fairly small, (about 1/4 inch diameter)? You may have received the hammer spring, not one of the recoil springs.

'Bout 1/4" diameter, 5-1/8" long.

Sounds like a recoil spring...Here's Numrich's schematic -

They want $10.25 apiece for them...("RR" - 2 req'd)...

Just by looking at this diagram, how could P38 be a cheaper gun to make?? It has so many parts.

But the vast majority of them are stamped, not machined or milled.

Unless it's a p38 in .22 lr, they work with only one recoil spring.

And there's no man hours work in fitting those parts. The P38 is like the 1911 in that matter.

And unlike in the luger you can actually improve a P.38 accuracy wise by swaping some parts.
