Default Stamp on Simson frame

Hello,

Found this "w" on a Simson luger frame.
Does an expert know what this stamp stands for ?

regards

It is what is considered a 'makers' marking, in unobtrusive places you will find letters or stamps. It is believed that these showed that an individual worker or group finished with that part.

you are liable to see markings on the underside of toggles, underside ofbarrel receivers, etc.

Means little that we know.

Do I have your serial number in my database?

I would like sn, suffix, if the stock lug has eagle 6 markings on it (looking up at it as if you were inserting a magazine), markings on right of receiver, any unit markings, whether original or reblued.
