i try to rework it: Volker Mi..... than are following letters not readable, but maybe a inventar-number, then: Staatl. Forstamt Boddeken it's numbers are completely matching (incl. mag and the grips), only at the toggle-hold-open the left number is not readable, the right one is an 8. It is in original condition and not reworked. it has no new stamps, the old firing-pin without gas-channels (from 1916 they had to be there) and the old (long-one) trigger-lever. this gun was given from an old widow to a small gun-shop in my town, her man owned it since ww I and died. |

Congratulations on the new Luger. I like it,as it sure does have character and a history behind it. This is one of the few pistols I have seen that you can identify the original owner by the name he wrote on the grips. Marvin |

Congratulations! I've got a question. In the picture of the firing pin there is a sleeve(?) that I don't have on my Erfurt 1918 Police. Nor does it seem to appear on the disassembly diagram in the technical section. Am I missing something?

interesting! i found out, that B�¶ddeken (not Boddeken) is a town-part of Paderborn in Westfalen since many years. and i have now some old guys, who worked in that Forstamt. the name "Staatl. Forstamt B�¶ddeken" exists only from 1936 till 1972. One of those guys remembered a fellow named "Volker Ziebell". he must have been the owner of my gun in pre-time of ww II. i'm now trying to find out the relatives (because there is nobody left over in this area with that name) and maybe i'll receive the total story of my gun. keep your fingers crossed.

Please keep us posted on your search as this is very interesting to me. I have a friend in Europe who now owns a genuine, documented, Gestapo used Luger rig and the Gestapo Identity Disc from the original owner. The original owner passed away about 2 years ago and my friend now owns this historical pistol. Good luck on your search and please keep us posted. Marvin |

It appears that the "sleeve" you refer to looks like the main rear toggle pin from the Luger. I looked and saw the small "head" on the pin and I think this is what you are refering to. Marvin |
