Just How Many Are There!

Lugers take stage for the number of models and variations. If you add up the books written or Jans or Charles Kenyan about how many are there? Why were there so many. Was a patent issued for each? Of course I want one of each! Seriosly has anyone added them up? The books written can fill up a whole shelf by itself! Ron our luger librarian more then anyone could be its' curator!
