I am booking along on some really good stories on Vol III of Veteran Bring Backs, I am up to page 159 !!
BUT, it is overwhelmingly on Vietnam era bring backs, which is cool because I wanted that, but I need some Korean war guns or equipment, some P38's, some Lugers, some Japanese items, these can be rifles, pistols, revolvers, binocs, or other kinds of equipment. The main component is that it must have some good solid provenance, bring back paperwork, or first hand knowledge (2nd hand is ok if from a known friend or relative you know and trust), their unit, their rank, etc. ![]() thanks! Ed

What exactly do you need? (pictures of items or just the story?)
My grandfather was on a ship headed for Japan when the bombs were dropped. Rather than being an invasion force the group became an occupation force. Among the things he brought back were two Japanese swords. The scabbard of one is creased in places because Grandpa used it to pry open Japanese supply crates. They look like Civil War-type swords. My dad has the damaged one and my cousin has the other one. I could get pictures of both. Had they not dropped the bombs, my dad and therefore I, probably wouldn't exist. |

As much of a story as you have; the swords, pictures each side, a few close ups, any story of how they were acquired, picked up, etc., rank, ports, anything you know or have.
email me at ed_tinker@hotmail.com thank you, ed

I am essentially finished with Vol III -- however, Brad Simpson simply has too many projects and will not be able to get to it for at least six months.
So, I will either self publish or wait six months Money and money will decide the outcome ![]() Ed
