gents
here i got an offer about an other ari to buy. for me it looks good, not an like new condition, but original without tinkerwork. what i can not determine is the little stamping infront of the DWM sign, left of the acceptance- and proofrow on the receiver and on the left frameside below the accepance and proofrow of the receiver .. any ideas from the specialists .... regards wolfganggo ... ![]() . |

What I heard was guns leaving UK needs to be proofed. This impression came from the description of a historical "Un Million" FN 1905, which was exempted from proofing when it was exported from UK.

The British proofing laws, as well as many other nations, are well covered in "The Sandard Directory of Proof Marks" by Wirnsberger & Steindler. There is also an appendix covering most of the German WW2 Ordnance codes. A good paperback reference to have for only around $25. TH
