Attempted to post photo below, these were made as a aftermarket item in Germany, the one pictured is in Sterling
silver fitted to a Astra 400{1921}.I believe these were special ordered for presentation purposes.I dont have a photo of the Luger device, however it probably closely resembles the Astra device.I am guesing the mid 1930"s, and I have lost the name ,however it was a famous jewler in Berlin. He also made other itms of weapons related interest, using Silver / nickle combination of metals. It is my personal opinon, I highly dought the item shown on E-bay came out of a ww2 time weapons factory or earlier. I am more inclined to think it is post 1950/job shop.A lot of imformation I have collated came from my dad who was a Ww2 combat veteran who served Germany and other countries. He was in some captured arms factorys in Suhl, and another friend of his helped blow open a safe in a luftwaffe factory.Gotta go eat dinner now, hope this helps some. |
