So I just returned from visiting a fellow who is liquidating an estate - some 300 guns, mostly old west and military stuff.
Among the pistols is a 1917 DWM. All of the numbers match that I can see - though he tells me that the grip panels do not match. So, not an all-numbers matching gun. The thing appears to be in very nice condition. The action is tight. No major pitting, etc. It's obviously been well cared for during its life. The pictures aren't the best, but it's all I could do on short notice. The guy wants $900 for it. I'm strongly considering buying the thing, but would love some advice. It's among a big batch of guns he's taking to a gun show tomorrow, so there's at least some chance he'll sell it there. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
