Default 1918 dwm

Hello, I am looking for some guidance on this 1918 DWM. All numbers are matching, and as you can see the finish is worn with some pitting and some very small rust spots. The bore is pitted and and very dark. with almost no rifling. My question is about the stocks. They are original (stamped with the serial (02) on the inside). To me they look like they have been refinished. I would expect them to be less shiny on a pistol with this amount of matching wear everywhere else. I wanted some opinions before I did anything like refinish them myself. Thanks.
