I have luger my father brought back from WWII. From what I have been told it is a shooter luger, in very nice condition. The numbers are not matching. I also have the 'capture' paperwork.
I would like to sell everything since I am not a collector and feel someone interested in it would preserve the items better than I can. I am wondering if I should sell everything as a set and what would be a good starting price. Thanks Here are a few more photos: https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B2i...YzM5MGE1&hl=en Last edited by moetard; 09-19-2010 at 08:17 PM. |

More detailed pics showing all markings on everything are required to even give a ballpark estimate...
I would think the set would command the highest return, but you may have to wait a while...

Having the bring back paperwork adds to the value of a rig.
Looks like you have both a WW-II Haenel and an earlier magazine. Matching numbers (all parts that are numbered as well as magazines) and original finish are highly valued by collectors. Value drops as those things are not met. There are a huge number of variables in valuation of a luger and rig components. For that reason we'd need to see detail of all the markings, serial numbers and finish condition. Even with that it's hard to evaluate from pictures. Take your photos with a tripod and a camera that can focus closeup. Don't use flash. Take the photos in indirect light. Perhaps a shaded area outdoors. Marc

Joe, As Rich and mark have indicated it would be wise to show better photo's to really evaluate your rig. Condition makeas some difference. So do markings.
These are basic values. They could change up or down depending on many things Pistol-600 depending on markings holster 200 depending on markings if any belt & buckle 100-135 depending on markings if any extra mag-90 depending on markings if any tool-20-80 depending on markings if any Jerry Burney
