Ok got the gun for inspection. Sn# 6919b early W|154 & S|92 proofs. All matching except the grips & mag, all small parts strawed. Grips are not numbered but marked X and E/355 which to me says replacement. Navy mag is 4261d E/244 N 1061 X, aluminum body with nickeled tube (mint). Now for the bad part, the inside of the reciever is blued! This being the case I know it has been refinished? What a bummer. If anyone on the forum would like a crack at it let me know.

More good Lugers have been ruined by their owners attempting to make them "better" by rebluing, engraving or plating them. Such a waste of a nice collectable weapon, this G-Date.
