Just finished smoking a good cigar in the back yard in the cool early morning. Opus X xXx (short belicoso). Good burn and draw, lots of tasty smoke, it was a real pleasure.

Anybody here enjoy a good smoke once in a while?

Struggling to quit smoking. The new start is today. When I visit my friend's home, I can control myself not smoking for a day because she does not smoke..... when I stay alone, it's a little bit hard.

I've tried to stop smoking about 10 times in the last 20 years. Lasted for nearly a year last time. Maybe I can do it the next time. My Cherokee Grandpa told me that it's in our blood. Sure hope he was wrong...

I stopped smoking about 35 years ago. I promised myself that I would start smoking again when I turn 90. I figure it can't do much harm then. Regards

re foriegn cigars sold in china? How are your cigars compare to our domestic In law shcool I had to make an emergency landing a cessna 150 during my checkout flight in Windsor Locks Conneticut landing in a tobacco field that saved my life, First I had no idea there was tobacco in Conn. I learned the know for their wrapper as I was taken away near the ElllaGrasso rest stop. Go Figure!! PS I never flew solo again!

I smoke 1 or 2 everyday weather permitting. Just got back from a graduation where my bro in law and I touched off some Gurkas.

My preference is a strong Maduro 54 ring. Yes Connecticut maduro broadleaf wrappers are tasty.

The plane I soloed in was also a Cessna 150 (square tail), and it later came down in a tobacco field in Virginia after the oil plug fell out because the A&P failed to safety wire it. The airplane flipped when the nosewheel came down and it never flew again - a shame, it was a great airplane. Both occupants walked away luckily.

These days I just get those knock-offs from Cigar Hut online, just about $1.20 each.

I DON'T THINK WE SHOULDN'T FLY OVER TOBACCO FIELDS, I praticed in a 150 and almost hid a dog sleeping on the warm runway in Pa. Thank God I had full flaps and sufficient air speed!The Dumb dog didn't even move. Only in Pa.

Used to fly into various Conn airports all the time. In the '70s lots of shade tobacco fields. In the '90s almost none.

Here an Eric Sloanwatercolor of Grummans; F4-3 Fighter hand drawn in pencil. They were all we had in our Navy in the beginning of the war. Totally loud and awesome carrier planes.

Debbie called from the Grand Cypress Hotel and Casino at Paradise Island Bahamas and found a vendor in the straw market selling Cuban Cohebes cigars for $10/cigar which means she probobly lost big in the casino!

Had time this morning to go to a cigar store, get a cup of coffee, hang out with some of the city detectives, watch the news, buy a few cigars and enjoy smoking a 601 Blue robusto.

Smoked a tasty Opus #5 this morning to start the day.

The wood cigar boxes are interesting. Have some old Por Larrañaga boxes, cedar or mahogany, that might make a good box for a Luger and extra magazine. "There's peace in a Larrañaga".

Be very wary of cigars sold at Nassau's straw market. Chances are excellent that it is a knock-off or a Dominican and not a Cuban Cohiba. Fakes are rampant in the Bahamas.

The only place I am ever sure the stuff is real is at the various Duty Free Vendors, (very expensive) or at the Club del Habano in Havana!!
