Oh gosh no!
The Luger collecting illness also brings out the dragon hoarding tendencies in us y'know. I am at my happiest with them all dragged out and in a large pile I can gloat over, hehehe. Like Fafnir or Smaug ![]()

When I settled my first case as a Lawyer here in Florida in 1985, my fee was $10,000. I cashd the check, brought home the entire amount in $100S. Spread it out with my 1st wife and was never so happy. I ask myselve where did it go!! I learned my lesson when 21 years later I bought my first of Gramps' luger, a 1906 Frenchy which I'm proud to say I still own and still own every Luger I've ever own which I feel is sucess in that I never had to sell a luger but can if I so wish and have met and write to some of the nicest friends, I learned that Guns can have many uses. PS You all know whom I'm refering to! God Bless!

Good to hear from you kid...it has been a while! Nice to see you continue to lurk here. Still trying to figure out when I can convince myself to trek all that way to your place to see all those treasures first hand. Best regards, Ron (Smaug's uncle)

I remembered that I have a "line up" shot that I haven't posted for a while. It is fun to put them in a row once in a while. These are most of my Swiss pieces.

Ron is showing his excellent manners by calling me "kid".
I am actually a Grandma. ![]() I would love to have you come visit Ron, ask Leon De Spain about the collection, as he is the only one from the board that has seen it in person. We promise the best Southern Hospitality to you sir, and it would be great to meet you.

Ron,
Very impressive collection. Beautiful woodworking too. BTW, I notice that the three in the center have some sort of cover on the muzzles. Care to comment? Newluger |

Peter,
The muzzle covers are a somewhat difficult accessory to find for Swiss Lugers. They are commercial items made by the firm of H. Lüthy of Neuchâtel, Switzerland. Some of the covers will have the firm name stamped on them. Others, like mine, are marked only with the word DÉPOSÉ (registered). The guns shown from right to left are: 1900 Swiss DWM, wide trigger variation 1906 Swiss DWM, Cross in Starburst marked chamber 1906 Swiss DWM, Cross in Shield marked chamber 1906 Swiss Waffenfabrik Bern 1929 Swiss Waffenfabrik Bern
