Here are photos of my Colt Model 1902 Military .38 ACP pistol for your enjoyment. If anybody else has one and has shot it, I'd like to hear about their experience with it.

George, What a beauty! Those are really fine pistols..Excellent bluing and turn of the century craftsmanship by Colt. I have several of the short barrel types my Father left me. I have shot them often but several years ago. Be sure you use only .38 ACP. NOT .38 Super which is the same cartridge demensionally but too over powered for these pistols.
Let us know a range report!

Jerry, thanks for your remarks. I have some modern .38 ACP and some vintage Winchester .38 Automatic Colt soft point ammo made in 1921 (photos below). I'll be sure to post a range report after I shoot it. Head stamp reads W.R.A. Co 38 A.C.

George, Sweet box of ammo! I love to see the old stuff. I would bet your pistol will be a great shooter. I collected Colt pocket auto's before Lugers and I love the Browning design. John Browning was truely a genius. He disigned the first automatic shotgun in 1896..I have taken several of them completely apart for gunsmithing and cleaning. I cannot imagine making one from scratch in a small machine shop! Doing that gives a guy true appreciation for Mr. Browning.
