Default Need reputable WV gunsmith

I am new to this forum. I am searching for a reputable gunsmith in West Virginia that is knowlegable about Lugers. I would like my pistol cleaned and appraised by a professional.

There are some I am sure, however I think most knowledgeable collectors know more about lugers than most gunsmiths ( a few aside).

Cleaning is easy

appraisel by a gun smith is not what you need, you need someone who knows lugers and not someone who can look up a model in the blue book or the other book that has values that may or may not be accurate.

I suggest you post 5-10 pictures here on the forum and get a quick estimate first, top of the gun, both sides, close areas of front frame, or other markings.

Default gunsmith in WV

I have used Dave Donnelly in Fairmont. He made some delicate repairs to my 1900AE. He is very good from what I hear. My friends use him for all types of gun repairs. Also, he has worked on my hunting rifles, for recoil pads, etc.

I've heard good things about Joe Hayes in Lewisburg. I am in the Charleston area and can show you how to disassemble and clean your gun.

I'm in Winchester Va, just across the "border" from Martinsburg, Charlestown, etc. If you need help disassembling, drop me a line.
