According to Ron Wood's posting on Jan Still's Luger forum,
none of the TEST A.E. Lugers were import marked 'Germany'. At auction now on Auction Arms, item# 9314127, is what is listed as a matching 'test' Luger s/n 8678. The s/n looks to fall into the test range, along with other markings, or lack of. So is this a 'test' Luger? Maybe I'd better go back and reread Ron Wood's posting. Being 'ME" good chance I've missed a comment of the GERMANY marking. Thanks,Bill |

Sorry all, I misread the 8678 as 6878, then it would be withing the correct range, though he still claims it to be a test even with the higher number.
Sorry, Bill |

The description for this item is full of misinformation about the Test Eagle range and the "flaming bomb" DWM inspector mark. Search this forum for "Commercial database comments."
