Default Police w/WaA63

I found a no date police luger in a store in Texas so no books. All matching ser no. 950. The strap mark L.Sta 137 and left side proof mark E/WaA63 only.

What is it?

Was the toggle marked or unmarked? Was there a suffux to the serial number? Did it have a mag safety? I assume that it had a sear safety. Most likely a 29 DWM also know as a 1933 Sneak.

A little high I think, it puts it right in there at the 1929 production. I dislike the "sneak" designation, since nothing was ever sneaked by that time (was before that.

I have onethats pretty nice for sale with unit marked (same unit) brown holster for $1750 shipped.

My guess is that the gun had a mag safety that has been removed and perhaps the slot in the frame filled in. One way to tell for sure is to remove the sideplate and see if there is a hole drilled in the frame above the trigger.

Also, the acceptance stamp is almost certainly WaA66.
