Lugers and their "fragility" + failure modes

Just wondering which parts are most likely to fail during the course of shooting. I know these guns are old, and that heat cycling can cause metal fatigue. Anything else that is common that I should be aware of? I have had issues with a breech block on one of mine already.

There was a forum survey about this subject a few years ago.

Extractor and ejector are at the top of the list. Especially the ejector, as it is a part which is always under stress.

I change out the extractor, ejector and firing pin before firing any Luger but my mismatched shooter. I'd rather break a replacement part than a matching numbered part any day.
