All....... just purchased this 1908 1st issue along with a British proofed artillery from a WW1 vet's family estate. The 1st issue has these grip strap markings,,,,,, can someone translate ? Thankes bunches !! myky@ctesc.net

Reserve Infantry Regiment 24, Company 1, Weapon 3. Probably issued to an NCO in that company. Will you post full serial number so that I can put it in my records?
