On auction now. Not mine. Function like a full scale one. A little bit less than 3".

Struggling.... I've cancelled my lifetime vacations for guns. I suffer in vacation and don't enjoy anything else anyway, not a problem for me. But other family members have different view on this. Where to cut extra corner without causing family trouble is a big headache..... hmm.... cigarettes.... hopefully this time I can quit.
===== Quit smoking, and I will have my car running for another five years. It's 180K miles now, and have some issues, but it still rolls. As long as it can carry me from point A to point B, I can go with it. The air conditioner was broken but the summer is over. I just replaced 4 tires in Costco, that $$ needs to be recovered anyway. That's the plan. I told my brother never spending on car 3000mi checking, 10000mi checking, 20000mi checking.... oil change plus fixing on-demand is good enough....checking for what.... it's finally a throw-away item after certain mileage no matter how new the chairs look like, and junk yard paying by car's weight. He did not listen to me. Last edited by alvin; 09-24-2009 at 10:06 PM. |

That C96 is a little beauty. The cartridge doesn't appear to be bottle-necked so it may be 9mm.

I don't have a .25ACP on hand, but the little cartridge in the pics looks too slim and long to be .25... |

Sorry, I misspelled it. Never been to Madagascar, but my place carries a similar weird name. Not sure the name came from which language.
Probably Indian. But I will keep Madagascar there, for unknown reason, I like that name. For the craftsman who can make this scaled model, creating a customized cartridge for display should be a piece of cake. If there were a mini clip, things would be better. |

Q: is this thing considered being a firearm, FFL required? C&R? Or like airsoft no control?

No. What I chase is CORRECTNESS.
If it's a Schnell model, sure. For semi-auto model, no. Also, I am not fancy on a particular variation, all of them are equal to me. The most attractive one to me is the one that I don't have. |

Who's the seller of these things? Not many people have these. Back a while ago, I saw a NAPCA member selling those, not sure coming from the same source or not.
Now I understand where the six-penny-length comes from. The text description says barrel length being 2 5/8", I misread and thought that's the total length. Full scale barrel is 5 1/2", half of that is 2 3/4". So half scaled miniature. |

Ironically, this real one comes with matching stock was a little bit cheaper than the mini toy. Pix copied from German auction site. Sold a few days ago, 2100 EURO... roughly USD 3087
Miniature is another taste. Probably unusual. |
