Gerard -- Thanks for the excellent ebooks. I have one issue desperately needing your help!

I bought a few ebooks in the past. Unfortunately, my computer disk crashed recently, and I lost the software. The software could be downloaded again, and I had written down my passwords after activation, but I found my saved passwords did not work on the newly downloaded books because they have different "number".

I hope my record of payment had been saved on your side (?) Is it possible to assign me new password? Thanks!

Or, I have the original emails sent to me after the payments. I can forward those back as evidence of payment. Sounds fair?

Hmmm.... "customer service" needs some improvement. Even if a straight forward "no", is better than silence, IMO.

Alvin, I suggest contacting Gerard via PM or email... he may not be watching the thread... He has issued new passwords to me in the past for the same reasons...

Good Luck !

I have requested new passwords because of a computer crash......the response was something to the effect of; it is clearly stated that only one password would be issued

These e-books are well written in my opinion, and I have frequently recommended them to new Luger enthusiasts...

I have requested clarification of the password policy from the author and will report his response when I get it. If the policy has changed, then we will no longer encourage members to purchase these books without warning them of the issues...

I have received a response from Gerard Henrotin... and I will share it with you all. His premise for the small charge seems very reasonable to me...

========message follows==========
Hello John,

The policy about re-issuing passwords has been a changed little bit with time because of the ever growing basis of customers through the years (and ever growing "hard disk crashes" occuring - sometimes each year - for very unlucky users).

Re-issuing password is a time consuming job as mails must be replied, former purchases must but traced back in the sale files, and so on.

I now ask for a $3.00 fee for each password re-issued to cover all these costs, and the fact that the customer download the latest (often enhanced) version of the ebook concerned.

Regards

Gerard
========end of message============

His email listed earlier in this thread is valid for those who need to request a new password.
