Default Unknown Luger

Any ideas on what is this?

It reads "LUGER CAL 14" on one side and "GERMAN I" (or something like that) on the other.

It is very rusty, it was kept hidden by an uncle of mine and I recently found it.

But I couldn't find any information on this gun.

Thank you

Interesting item. Looks like it might be an air pistol. Any chance it says "CAL .17"? It might also be a single shot "parlor pistol" that uses a sub-caliber cartridge. Can you open the action, or is it rusted shut? Clear photos in better light (try out of doors in bright shade) might help.

Airpistol? Gentlemen please!
I am astounded that two such knowledgeable individuals such as yourselves have failed to identify this rare DWM 1946 Totenkopfverbandfliegerjaegersdoodlegeshutz Hermann Goering edition P-08 1/2 Luger II Nazi Death Ray!
For sure, as there were only seven made (by the Numenorians), they are quite rare, and finding individually serial numbered and Waffaenamt stampt "Kugelblitz" ammunition is even harder to find, this becomes quite likely, the "Holy Grail" of all Luger collectors!!!
You didn't happen to find it in a Bell shaped metal object covered in electrical wires, deep in a flooded mineshaft in Poland, did you?
Hmmm...On second thought, maybe I might be confusing this interesting specimen with something else...
...Never mind.
Uh...It's probably just an airpistol after all.
(he says, listening for a knock on the door, by certain men in black suits)
:icon501:
*sigh*
Nothing exciting happens around here anymore...
