Hello Friends,
As you know I really like all the items that are related to the Mauser Company. Recently I have bought these two coins used in the Mauser canteen. I do not have much more info about these coins therefore all additional info you can provide is really appreciated. More Mauser gadgets are available in my web site (General -> Mauser Gadgets). Have fun, Mauro ![]() ![]()

That's neat Mauro!
Any idea why they had their own coins?

Back when I was a kid living in a coal mining town, the miners were paid in "script" issued by the coal mining company that could only be used in the "company store". Perhaps these tokens had a similar purpose.

Hi All,
May be this will help, Germany had used money called Notgeld meaning emergency money in the past. It was mainly used during the times of war and crisis. Example: When a town was besieged it was cut of the money supply and frequently invented some money to be used inside the town. Maybe your coins are something of this sort ![]() Here is note issued by Fried Krupp in 31st December 1923. Alf.
