Pistol 08 military

Hello I note that several "markings" questions have been answered by helpful collectors. The stamp on the front strap of this pistol is B.M.S.9. The nine is half the size of the letters. Could someone identify the unit. This forum is an amazing resource for a beginner. thanks

Bayerische Militaer-Schiess Schule, Waffe Nr. 9. May I know the serial number including the letter suffix?
