Cleaning my S/42 I've noticed that the barrel assembly has a side play (left-right) on the frame of about 0.02" on its entire lenght. Does it sound OK to you?
Thanks. Paolo

Sounds OK, a small amount of play allows for working with small amounts of fouling and heat expansion...

Perfectly normal. I had a VoPo with quite some lateral play, 1936 assembly on DWM frame, still shot like new.

Thank you very much, I really appreciate.
My concerns are because the trigger performs in a quite different way if the barrel assembly is pushed full right or full left. Apparently, when closed in battery, the barrel sits on the left.
