Imperial tools are either blank (no markings) or mark with crown over gothic letter.
Do you have something different? Ron

Ron, I am not sure what it is. Due to wear, I can make out the crown...but as to the script....??? I will see if I can get a picture posted tonight after church. I'm sure some of you guys can identify it easily.

Sorry Ron. Ran a set of batteries down trying to get a close up of the marking. It's hopeless for me. May try again tomorrow when my patience has been restored.

If you're having trouble getting a closeup, maybe you forgot to use the macro setting?

Used the "close up" feature which I assumed was the same as Macro. Do I need to take the "Auto" setting off?

Lawrence,
It is an Imperial tool. Most likely an Erfurt tool according to Still's Imperial Lugers. It is thought that Erfurt marked their tools, while DWM's are unmarked. Difficult to make out the letter. Gothic Fractur letters are often hard to decypher. Ron
