I am interested in buying my first Luger. I'm a complete noob concerning Lugers, but from the tiny amount of info that I have obtained, I think that a Mauser/Interarms Parabellum would be good for my purposes/criteria. Basically, I'm looking for a well made, reliable, and nice looking shooter rather than a collector's piece. What is a reasonable price for a NIB/LNIB 4" 9mm Mauser Parabellum, and where would you'll recommend that I search for one? I have a budget of $1000 for the Luger. Thanks.

Nero, welcome aboard!
If you're definitely looking for a shooter rather than a collectible piece, DON'T look for a NIB/LNIB gun. If it's been shot you'll pay a lot less for it, and after you put a hundred rounds through a NIB it will look just like the cheaper gun.

Nero,
Check out the one that Miketuite just posted on the "for sale" forum, looks like what you are looking for and reasonably priced.
