I bought a Luger manual from a gentleman from Norway off of e-bay, turns out it is our own Morgan Kane! Got the items very quick.
here is the rest of the story. A day after I saw Morgan's item, I bought some Simpson catalogs from a deadbeat lady on e-bay who lives in South Carolina. Paid via Paypal the next day to ebay lady. So, lets see, item from South Carolina, paid on the 27th of December; STILL hasn't arrived... Morgans item from NORWAY arrived mid week of LAST week? hmmmmm ![]() Ed |

Thanks Ed!
It was a fast payment as well ![]() And as far as trusting our women goes.. the manuals where posted by my whife, she posted only one by misstake! Something I found out the day after, when we had started our little vecation and had arrived in Oslo. Since the mail uses one day from Trondheim to Oslo anyway, they probably arrived at the same time ![]()

Morgan Kane,
I am in the process of writing a letter to a lady friend in Norway. I am going to ask her what you always write at the bottom of your posts. I am trying to impress her by making her think that I am trying to understand the language. I hope that it is not something like "We vikings are going to invade and plunder England at midnight by boat." or "I will trade you three seal skins for your daughter.". That would not be appropriate if I am trying to say something romantic. ![]() Big Norm |

Big Norm,
It's not a very romantic quote.. I'm no expert in that area ![]() If you need help translating something to norwegian some day, I'll be happy to help! Snakeman, Taken from HÃ?Â¥vamÃ?Â¥l.. It's about not leaving your spear one step away from you when "on the road", you never know when you might need it

It may have been way back in the late '50's that I read an article in one of the gun magazines about Norway having rebuilt a number of German Luger's, including new and possibly longer barrels, for use by their military. Does anybody remember anything about this?
My wife wants me to advise you guys that Danish is the mother language of the other Scandinavian languages. |

Agreed. I understand Finnish is not related to any other language except maybe Hungarian.
My wife, who is still a Danish citizen, and I recently lived 19 months in Denmark. I was happy to note that there are some unregestered Lugers and other German arms left over from WW2 in private hands. I noted the same in Norway when I worked there some years ago. I wonder why the Finnish Lahti, which has considerable external resemblance to the Luger, is not as popular a collector's item. |

Morgan,
We'll be visiting Norway, Sweden and a small part of Finland during our '2006 Northcape Tour'. Just a bunch of wacko's driving up to the north cape in a bunch of Mercedes-Benz SEC's to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the birth of the SEC. http://mbcoupes-europe.com/NorthCape2006.html Perhaps we'll see each other along the route ![]() |

I hope you have a great trip!
I have driven up and down the norwegian coast line several times, even a few times with my Suzuki SJ410. A jumpy little jeep with a very small engine.. so I think your MB SEC will do just fine ![]() At the moment im living on a small farm in Leksvik, just outside Trondheim. If you drive trough Leksvik, perhaps we can meet and fire a few rounds with Luger and drink a few rounds of whisky later on ![]()
