Default Digital Caliper

If you need one of these Harbor Frieght has them on sale for a really good price. I have one and it works great. Enter item #47257 in the search item box.

Herb, link to items doesn't work for me, anyway I have one and use it regularly, is a handy tool to have, especially for these non up close focusing eyes I somehow have been stuck with.

RK... I used to have that problem, but about a year ago, I spent the price of the average Krieghoff collectible Luger to have Lasik surgery done on my antique eyes... I only wish that this technology has been available 30 years ago. My eyes are now 20/15... and they used to be 20/425 (right) and 20/725 (left)

It is a miracle of modern health technology... I heartily (and seriously) recommend it to older folks such as yourself

BTW, I will never give up my digital caliper... they will have to pry it out of my cold dead fingers...

Being old fashioned I find the DIAL caliper is better for me. No batteries, easy to read and accurate. Can also read it in direct sunlight...Jerry Burney

Herb,

I ordered one; thanks for the information. This is the best price I have seen on these. I'll report back on this string regarding the quality and accuracy.

Regards,
Luke

Hi,

It's not a wellknown fact that Mauser also had a precision instrument division. Calipers, also digital ones with the Mauser logo are regularly on sale on Ebay Germany.

An example (not a digital one):

My order from Harbor Freight came in today, and the digital caliper seems to be of good quality and measures the same as my older (more expensive) model . . . . within the limits of my ability to compare.

Thanks for the tip, Herb.
