Anyone have an idea about the barrel on this luger ???

Neat job, whatever it is. I'm guessing it is some kind of custom scope mount. It looks like the brass part is elevated slightly above the barrel and may have a dovetail shape.

Barrel made from a shortened arty one...
Impossible to have a good shot with it, as front sight seems too high.

I also agree that it appears to have been turned from an artillery model barrel... removing the integral sight base.
