Default Stainless Luger History

The stainless steel Lugers were [and still are ]made by the same mfg. Armas Intl. Mfg. Co in Huston Tx. Iam accquainted The owner/CEO Mr Ramiro E. Romo Jr. Nice guy. They had contract with mitchell. When it ended he got a contract with Stoeger[thus the Stoeger marked guns.] Beretta bought out Stoeger. Beretta did not want to market the stainless Luger. AIMCO manufactured some commerative 1900 style [black finish] to sell to members and others for the 2000 NAPCA convention in Kansas City in Jan 2000. This was to be limited to 350 pieces. I bought ser no 11. I got to know Ramiro at that time. I doubt that he sold more than a hand full of the commeratives. At that time he had a prototype of an Artillery that he hoped to market. A few months abo he was advertising a varity of Stainless Lugers in SGN. I last visited with him in December. I'm sure he still has them available. I can put anyone in touch with him if you desire. I like them--They are a different luger. I doubt that they will get cheaper with age--just as with the 1970s Mauser Lugers. Hope this helps some one. I once added a lanyard loop to one--looked more authentic.wheatland
