Got a Luger - what's it worth?
A Great Uncle got this during WWII and it ended up with my Dad.
Stamped 1939... All serial numbers seems to match..all either 6280 or just 80... The magazine has no markings. Has a flap holster and the small tool on the inside of the flap, in a small pouch. I read somewhere that if the numbers match they are worth more than just the utility value. Thank you. |

Peter, that is correct, but "all" matching includes many parts, but if you can see most, then that is a good sign.
To really give you any kind of value, can you tell us any other markings on the gun? Proofs? (see on your left under tech information if you came through www.lugerforum.com) Tell us what and where proofs and markings are located. There are forms in this section, where you can print out and then write down pertinent information. What serial number is on the gun? To include any letters next to or under the serial number? What initials or letters are on the toggle? i.e. Mauser in a circle, byf, 42 S42, etc? Can you provide pictures, to include side, top, etc? If you'd like I can help with posting pictures, although it is fairly easy to do. Ed
