GOD bless America and the cream of the crop people who will be doing the fighting. But I do worry about what unexpected act Saddam will do. This all looks too easy.

The Germans in WW1 were supposed to defeat the French is a few weeks. The Belgiums were supposed to be chocolate soldiers. But the war lasted and the Belgiums really screwed up the German war plans. Hitler was supposed to defeat the Russians in a few weeks. It didn't happen.

I only hope that my worries prove to be unjustified and victory is swift with little lose of life.

I predict that we will quickly learn that we will have been spelling the Tyrant of Iraq's name wrong all along...

We are going to find out that it should have been spelled

SAD-DUMB Hussein...

God Bless our Troops!

The Tarik Aziz info has proven to be a hoax. Sorry folks, but we will get him in any event.

Thumbs up

Quoting the words of William Tecumseh Sherman--
"War is cruelty. There is no use trying to reform it. The crueler it is, the sooner it will be over."
From Napoleon-- "Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake."
May this be a short skirmish end quickly. God bless our soldiers, may they quickly achieve their goals.

It is an interesting opening of the war!
I noticed that the human shields are standing up in defiance in front of the hospitals, just daring the US to bomb them. Such Bravery!!

Wes, you are absolutely hilarious sometimes

Do you think you can come up with a new avatar of the Red Baron with his tongue in his cheek! <img border="0" alt="[hiha]" title="" src="graemlins/roflmao.gif" />

Brave??? <img border="0" alt="[ouch]" title="" src="graemlins/c.gif" /> --for the sake of the so called Human Shields, I hope that they are not standing in front of a "hospital" where there is a military command and control facility... <img border="0" alt="[crying]" title="" src="graemlins/crying.gif" /> because the likelihood of us not firing because they are standing there is ZERO.

The Human Shields are going to be nominated for a Special Achievement Group Darwin Award. It is all together fitting that such loonies be removed from the gene pool.

Wes, <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" />
Can we make it an award for the
"Stupid Assed Dumb American Monkey" <img border="0" alt="[soapbox]" title="" src="graemlins/soapbox.gif" />
.
I'm quite certain that her knowledge of the accuracy of the advanced weaponry used by our armed forces was given
"A Very Careful Assessment" before chosing her objective to be protected from American Bombs!
I for one wonder if she would be as eager to protect one of the "Palaces" or the "Armed Forces Ministry" ???? <img border="0" alt="[hiha]" title="" src="graemlins/roflmao.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[hiha]" title="" src="graemlins/roflmao.gif" />

I think it's pretty freakin miraculous that civilian casualties have been as low as they have in recent years. Considering the power and volume of the ordnance that gets dropped...

Gone are the days of blind carpet bombing and hefty casualty lists. How easily some forget. At least they won't be around long enough to poison anyone else's mind.

Pelorat,
Carpet bombing has been removed from "civilized" war. However, there will come a day that the loser will not desire to lose, if the winning stroke is devastation of the opposing civilization.
However, let us pretend.

I'd like to see Saddam walk out on his front porch and shoot a damn rifle in the air right now. Bet you couldn't give him an enema with a jackhammer coated in gear dope.
