Post Swiss Holster Alert...!

A good Swiss collector, living in Europe, has alerted me that the holster on e-Bay, right now, is a modern-day creation and was not/never used for any Swiss lugers or even the later SIG pistols...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=36049

Buyer beware...hope no LF members are on the bidding list...

Regards,

Pete... <img border="0" alt="[typing]" title="" src="graemlins/yltype.gif" />

Pete,
With due respect for your concern for the membership, anyone on this forum who buys such a POS is undergoing the "learning process" and they should perhaps seek remedial instruction.

Although I would rather be "warned" Tom than not.

But I promise, if I buy a pre-WW1, I will contact Ron or others, Pete or others for Swiss and ANY Navy Tom, I would welcome any help,

Ed

Tom,

I just cannot believe this item is over $ 184.00 and biding is still on-going. You can usually buy a real., decent condition Swiss luger holster complete with shoulder strap that is anywhere from 60-80 years old for $ 150.00...

p.s.

I especially noticed the seller's statement of authenticity at the bottom of his ad... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" /> and his fine return-policy... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

" Once again : it is not a new made india fake or reproduction : its a real one from old swiss stock ! Sold as is - no return ! "

Regards,

Pete... <img border="0" alt="[typing]" title="" src="graemlins/yltype.gif" />

Pete, This holster does not have even a rudementary resemblence to an original Swiss. There are so many things wrong with it I thought it might have been made by the Mattell toy Co. Like Tom says the buyer needs his head examined. Mercifully his name is hidden by a "private" auction. It irks me that the seller is such a story teller and is getting away with it. Jerry Burney
