Default Rick, I respect your decision, but

I wish that you would reconsider too. I have always enjoyed your posts, be they serious or of the bantering variety. I think it is extremely important to have as many inputs on subjects as we can get, especially when done tactfully, as yours were.

Default Where did this come from Rick? :(

I have just scanned all the posts, and nothing there suggests that you were feeling rejected. In fact your post of 4/30 (from my knothole) suggests just the opposite.

And what about me? There aren't that many kindred presentation case spirits out there... I need you, I'm out numbered.

I do not allow poor behaviour on this site, and I think we have one of the best sites around, so if you are feeling that members here have treated you badly, I would be interested in learning who that is that has made you feel so bad you have no alternative but to leave. Send me a private email if you do not wish to disclose that info openly. As webmaster for this site I need to address issues that will cause valuable members such as yourself to feel they have to leave us. Please email me.

Default I concur with the board of Rogues Rick, Don't Go.

I too have enjoyed your posts and did not sense that you were feeling rejected. This is a great site and you are part of the reason. Your questions were always sincere and your appreciation for honest answers was apparent. Not everyone could be in this hobby for over 40 years, and those of us who have, enjoy passing the knowledge we have accumulated to the next generation of Luger enthusiasts. Obviously by your post, one or more of us has made you feel rejected, please let me apologize for the insensitivity... where ever it lies. There is no pecking order of the users on this site. Even new guys keep the conversation fresh on old topics.

I know without reading all the posts below yours here that the consensus of the regulars on this site is the same.

I also urge you to reconsider and stay part of this group.

sincerely, John

I agree with you John. Someone with Rick's experience, knowledge and enthusiasm is valuable here! I've read most of his posts and found them to be contributing to the discussion at hand and in good faith. I read posts and learn from them. If I have nothing to add or contribute, then I don't, trying to stay out of the way of people who know much more than I. Besides, someone with the name "Wagner" certainly is welcome here of all places!

I'm one of the newer guys that spends most of my time on this board learning from those of you that are so very knowledgeable about Lugers.

I had no idea that there were "factions" and why would you all at once just quit the hobby altogether?

I hope all is well with you and that you will remain at this quiet and reserved forum. I hope that you will continue to share the knowledge that you have gained over the thirty years that you have collected Lugers with those of us that are only getting started.

Mike
