Post Artillery Luger

Gentlemen,

An old friend called today, his father recently died and his family had come across an artillery Luger with a stock that the old man (a WW2 vet) had tucked away. My friend hadn't seen the gun yet, but his family had told him that it was marked 1938. Were artillery Lugers being made as late as 1938? It may be headed my way if we can agree on a price. It is supposed to be all matching numbers and in very good condition.

Regards,

Balder

Edit note: Sorry, I just now realized that artillery Lugers have their own section. Administrators; feel free to move the posting if necessary.
