I used to own a gun shop in Montgomery, Alabama. I was in the back when my partner came in to the office and said a young guy with a luger was out front and wanted some information on it.
I went to the front and the guy handed me a mint 4 in. 9 mm Luger. I only had the old blue luger book and Lugers at Random. Wasn't in either of them. the pistol was I believe a blank toggle Kriegoff. The only proof on the pistol was an A in circle. However the serial number was P 12. The young man told me his father had taken the pistol from a german soldier. I told him it appeared to be a postwar PX luger. He got mad and walked out and I have never seen the gun since. |
