Hello, just got this P38 SVW45 from local pawn shop… not very much info out there…

Nice gun, ex Austrian Army.

When the Austrian Bundesheer was established in the 1950s, many French owned Mauser pistols were transferred to them.

Larry ---- I have a Mauser (svw) 45 P.38 with Nazi proof and acceptance stamps on the right side of the slide. It also has a very small star stamp just above the Nazi acceptance stamp. Does yours have the star ?
