"Like the Bible there are 2 parts. We are blessed with two of our finest luger teachers. The first, LUGER VARIATIONS, H.E. Jones 1959 and Fred Datig,The Luger Pistol 1955. I'm rereading both and post some hidden treasures. Harry Jones COMMENT~"My first referred to, by some, as the 1902 Carbine, this was the first Luger to have a stock lug. These guns were designed as a sporting weapon and came with a detachable contoured stock. The stock and the forearm have excellent checkering. These carbines require a special cartridge, having a greater power charge. to collapse the auxiliary recoil spring that is located in the forearm. This is a unusual and beautiful gun, people from all walks of like admire. The survival rate is very high: The gun is too large to misplace and too pretty to throw away. Luger Carbines are always in demand. Collectors want them for their collection"~ To be continued, Eric+PS! The stock lug was new to me!!! I just decided to post the original as 40 years should be by now legal! This if the 1902 version!
