While perusing e-guns, the European counterpart to Gunbroker, I came upon the Erma KGP 690. It is basically the KGP 69 (a .22lr) with a different top-end and, presumably, mag. The 690 is chambered in 8mm Kurz, and handles what are probably proprietary rounds that are made in blank, pepper gas, and CS gas format, in a configuration that is shorter than the rifle round of the same caliber, which appears to have done away with the dimension the bullet adds beyond the bottle-neck brass. I think the 690 is also semi-auto, single action.
The price range on the auction site seems reasonable for what they are, and there's one offered by a seller who will ship internationally. I asked my FFL dealer if it is legal to have one of them in NY State, but he did not know, and suggested I contact the BATFE. I'm prepared to find that NY probably has its own restrictions on their use or possession. To get started on finding the relevant info about this, I'm asking if any of our illustrious forum members is versed in the regulations concerning gas/blank pistols, or is able to steer me to the info. Thanks!
