Hello all,
I am new to the Luger world and specifically the P08. I am looking to buy my first P08 and want to be sure I am doing it right. I would like to purchase a WWII era gun in original condition. I would appreciate some of your expert opinions on a 1938 S/42 that is for sale. The asking price is $2095 for this all numbers matching P08 with one matching magazine. Here are some pics of the gun: P08 #1.jpg P08 #2.jpg P08 #3.jpg P08 #4.jpg P08 #5.jpg P08 #6.jpg I appreciate your looking and your comments. If you need any other info, let me know. Thanks, Brian |

While nice I don't think the overall condition warrants a price over $2,000.
I would be in the $1800 +/- area. |

Agreed. Price is quite a bit high for that condition. I'd wait for a better one to come along.

I think that it would be a good buy at $ 1,500.00 - $ 1,600.00 with matching mag, yeah.
thanks Jack |

Here is the one photo of magazine bottom.
P08 mag.jpg Thank you for all your responses. I have tried multiple times to contact the seller to make an offer but have not received any responses. It looks like I may have to pass on this one and keep looking. I appreciate the help. |

Assuming that the suffix on the frame is also "i", then the mag bottom passes the sniff test.
Let us know how negotiations go. dju |

Agree with the above. $1500-$1600 is top dollar. It is missing to much finish.
