Stamping on Luger

Hi guys,

My first post here although I've been lurking for some time.

Anyone got any ideas what the markings on the side of this Luger stand for, there is also a small "S" on the toggle. The Luger is a 1940 dated 42 code.
Sorry about the quality of the pics, I don't have any others meantime.

No idea.. but it doesn't look stamped and the letters looks "modern". My guess is that it's engraved post war.

("S.t" if there was a "g" in between, it could have been saregant M.R.)
