I have a question on the great (IMHO) 1915 police I bought from Tom Armstrong. There is an extra eagle on the left side of the barrel. The very abstract straight line version associated in the tech information with mauser reciever reworks. You can see it roughly in the picture that I stole from Thor's web site or click on the Link and go to DWM (2) on Thor's site
Does anyone know anything about this mark? I am guessing it has to do with the rework. All of the other eagles are of the same "heraldic" type on the breech block, reciever and right side of the barrel The Holster (not the one in Thor's picture) is marked F Grosse Dresden 1915 and marked with the serial number of the pistol 1915 DWM 2 http://members.rennlist.com/lugerman.../TALeftRig.jpg |
