Mike,
Your Luger is classified as a DWM Alphabet commecial... formerly known as a 1920 commercial. It is most likely a 7.65mm/30 Luger. The upper (receiver and barrel #8836p) doesn't match the lower(frame #8836o). The letters are part of the serial #. The second 8 on the frame looks like it was stamped over another number, possibly a 7. The upper was made in 1926. The frame was made in 1925, if it is also a commercial and not taken from an earlier military M1914. The value is around $400-$500. 9mm shooters are worth more... $600- $800.
