Tom, I have some Franzite BPBs that are close in appearance to the original Mauser Parabellum bottoms @$10 or MecGar ones with the concentric circles on both sides @$5. If necessary, I can install them for an additional $25 (don't really enjoy mag work) + $6 return S&H. Tom

This is a good tip for all owners of Post-War Mauser Parabellum pistols:
'Don't use the magazines that came with them!!!!' The bottom pieces are fragile and WILL break during extended use. Find a good MecGar for shooting and use that one instead. ps: If someone is confronted with a fractured bottom piece, take out the magazine spring and check the follower insert (a metal guide that keeps the magazine spring in place, roughly the size of a 9mm case). There is a good chance that your magazine follower insert is actually a 9x19mm case! |

Charlie,
I have seen a couple of variations: -Follower 1 resembles a rimfire cartridge, made out of brass. Unmarked. -Follower 2 is chromed, has a knurled rim and has an NWM 9x19 head stamp. (NWM being the munitions plant that originally made the cartridges, a sister company of IWK and Mauser, located in the Netherlands). |

I'll second the recomendation to watch out using the 1nterarms mag. I broke the bottom on one of mine trying to fit the 8th round. John |
