hi all yesterday i had a very proud day , my 41 byf roared back into life , so good to see a living part of history in action and the report leaves you in no doubt to its function . anyhow after firing one round the centre toggle link remained slightly proud [about 5-10mm] and looked as though it would need to be pushed flush to fire another one [ based purely on watching videos of the luger firing . didnt want to break my treasured p08 , but on removal of the magazine and checking the chamber was clear , i found another round was chambered so am i panicking over nothing - if not what do you guys think could be up . thanks

Dirty chamber? or dirty ammunition didn't allow for a full chambering of the round. Clean it, make sure everything moves smoothely and try it again.

Also ensure that all your moving parts are properly lubed. I have received completely dry pistols in the past. Every "new" gun should be stripped, cleaned, and lubed before first firing.
