Was wondering if anyone could help - what do I have here and what would the approx values be?
Came upon this from a family member, and unfortunately I don't have any interest in it... kept a Belgian High Power as my shooter, but I'm not a collector... Luger 1: Short barrel, matching s/n (except mag), Erfurt on top, stamped 1916 (see pics) ![]() ![]() ![]() Luger 2: Long barrel with adjustable sights, stamped 1917 and also 1920 on top, numbers don't appear to match (s/n ends in 43, all other parts in 19 and a different number on sights), see stampings from top. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I was wondering what these might ballpark be worth... was talking with someone to trade for a pinball machine and some other stuff... All help is appreciated McKelvey |

McKelvey, the top one is a Erfurt, made in 1916, if all matching $800-$1000, but it almost looks reblued (if reblued then worth around $500-$600 and I'd be interested...)
The DWM artillery, being mismatched parts is a "shooter" and worth $800-$1000. It was made in 1917 (at least the top receiver) and "property" marked 1920 in around 1920 so you would know they were gov't property and not stolen (money was tight in germany after WW1) Ed weimar_lugers@comcast.net |

Ed, the Erfurt looks definitely re-blued as the proofs on the right side of the frame are well buffed. I think you are a wee bit generous on your price estimates. Are you looking for a re-blued Erfurt shooter?

Actually looking for a Erfurt that is fairly nice... A reblue erfurt for now would be okay
![]() ![]() I think a reblue is generally worth $500-$600 (I thought the right side proofs were washed out too)... Ed |

Was considering selling - locally.
Had a guy who was interested in trading a few guns for a (newer high end ~$2k) pinball machine. Will consider selling otherwise if that doesn't work out. McKelvey |
