Help...
I am not a Luger expert.... but yesterday, I traded a Dutch Luger, for the Luger below. The Luger is a "Black widow" Byf 1941. It has a skull, and cross bones, and the "SS symbol" stamped. On the spine of the handle, it is unit marked: "RSHA Section III B 5." The former owner of this gun claims to have had it for 35 years, and found a book that identifies the owner as: "SS Major von Loew zu Steinfurth." Section III B 5. Occupied Territories. He bought this case to store the Luger. Enclosed is a link to view photos of the Luger, and book. The gun has been fired a lot, and thus the bore is poor. Did I find a treasure, or did someone take a "shooter", and altered it to artificially enhance it's value. Please be kind, and open minded. I am new.... Thanks...
